June 2014 Favorites

June 2014 Favorites

Oh Man! Another month has come and gone! I swear June flew by!! && I am not going to lie I am kind of thrilled,
living in AZ brings the heat and I am so ready for the heat to be over ... // I know I should be used to it //

Favorite Products // Fashion

1. I am loving Crochet anything especially tops 1.) because they are flowy and breath
&& 2.) because it can double as a swim cover. You can find the Black one here // the white one here

2. Rainbow Aviators .... #enoughsaid .** I have heard there is a Ray-Band outlet! where is it?**

3. Sandals especially sparkly ones! They are comfy and can add a little extra to ANY outfit! A summer must.

4. Naked Flushed Pallet  -- In the summer I refuse to put so many layers on my face, its too hot for that ish.
So this way you get Blush, Bronze, and highlight all in one.

5. EOS! My lips get dried all year long so I love keeping some type of chap stick on hand and this
   "Mint" flavored  EOS is Amazeballs.

6. NYX butter lipsticks are perfect for the summer they go on so smooth and the color pull off
is awesome, plus its not to thick and is long-lasting.

7. This was my "BIG" purchase at the beginning of the month. With the wedding coming up in 8 months I want to
have flawless skin, so I need to start now! I heard amazing reviews for this Michael Todd Bi Light-- but it was
always to pricey for my budget -- However they had it on Groupon for like 50% off. I instantly had to have it!
And its AMAZING! I can already notice a huge difference! I am thinking about doing a review on it,
so let me know if you like to hear more about this product.

8. Nars Toner! Oh my face has been loving the moisture from this, especially after being in the hot sun!
It has calmed the redness in my face as well as taking care of my dry patches.

9. ST Tropez Self tanner is my go to tanner! I love this stuff I did a haul for this about a year ago,
and I am still in  love with it! I have used it more this month to give my skin more of bronze glow.
---- you can also buy this at Sephora and St. Tropez website, if you didnt want to order from theHut.com

Favorite People!

NARS Beauty Bar

Over the Weekend 4 girlfriends and I were lucky enough to enjoy a one of a kind Nars
Beauty Bar Make Up Party!! I don't know if it was my 2 glasses of champagne but
I felt like I was on a beauty high all day long, it was freaking awesome!
We were able to work with  Raquel Grijalva, a Nars Stylist who travels all over,
working with models on the runway to the stars on the red carpet! She informed us
about this amazing brand and taught us all of her techniques!
We kicked off the Party with Skin Care! From toning to priming! Already just from the toner, I could see a significant difference the redness in my skin was already eased! By the end of the routine we all could not stop touching our faces! It literally felt like velvet!
Next it was time to conceal! I am a hardcore lover of full coverage foundation! Till I tried NARS tinted moisturizer.... HOLLY COW! It is like magic! I had full coverage without the heaviness of
normal full coverage foundation! One of my biggest questions I had was contouring! And with the easy 2 in 1 contour blush kit! It was so easy and was so much simpler then I thought it was!
Look out Kim Kardashian there is a new easier way to get photo ready contouring!

Next it was all about COLOR! from the NARS Orgasm blush, to the Bold Blue eyeliner!
Us girls looked and felt incredible!! We learned so much and left with a whole new love
for color! I am a black eyeliner junkie, && I can honestly say I have yet to wear it since
our fabulous makeup party! Bye bye Black Hello blue, purple, and green!

Thank you so so much to NARS, MeMe and Raquel for this amazing afternoon!
We had a blast and learned so many new things! It was an amazing opportunity && a day we will never forget!!

Freezing Herbs in olive oil

8 Steps for Freezing Herbs in Oil

  1. Choose firm, fresh herbs, ideally from the market or your own garden.
  2. If you wish, you can chop them fine. Or leave them in larger sprigs and leaves.
  3. Pack the wells of ice cube trays about 2/3 full of herbs.
  4. You can mix up the herbs, too; think about freezing a bouquet garni of sage, thyme, and rosemary to add to winter roast chickens and potatoes!
  5. Pour extra-virgin olive oil or melted, unsalted butter over the herbs.
  6. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and freeze overnight.
  7. Remove the frozen cubes and store in freezer containers or small bags.
  8. Don't forget to label each container or bag with the type of herb (and oil) inside!

Neon light W/ Demi Lovato

Neon bold

One of the funnest things about spring is the bright colors! espacially the NEONS. They are so bright
and can really make your individuality come out! && when your individuality comes you shine, with being the radiant person you are and really step out of your shell! Which honeslty is still a battel I face today. I am a really shy person and can become intemadated easily but when you have a bold piece that you know you look good in and people can help but notice you (Hopefully) in a good way.
You radiate and become the BOLD you. Personally I think Demi steals the show with her radience and creates Girl power every where you look. She is an amazing individual and not to mention her music Rocks!! Neon Lights is my JAM right now and the idea behind this post!!

Tampax Always Be Radiant  is giving you a chance to go to Nashville with:
- 2 VIP tickets to Demi Lovato  on the 29th
- 2 night stay in NAshville
- Meet DEMI LOVATO
 - Limo Pickup

Sex-A-fide Sexy Stems.

Why hello my dear bloggers,

I hope you are all having a wonderful week! I have to admit this week has gotten me off to a bumpy start. Between almost being late for work, spilling my coffee all over me, and breaking a nail while changing the radio, No Bueno. But on a good note the sun is shining and valentines is approaching us! Its that one of many times we get, to get all Sex-a-fide for our honeys....(or if your single for yourself). But part of being sexy is showing some leg and to be honest who wants to show some white ass legs .. NOT me. And even though I live in Arizona my legs literally look like I'm from the Arctic. That is until the raise of sunlight themselves brought Sexystems into my life.
There are 3 reasons why this stuff is the Bee's knees:

1.) It gives you the perfect bronzed glow, not a fake orange. we don't want to look a duchebag.
2.)It doesn't even smell like a tanner it smells like coconuts with a hint of vanilla!!!!!!
3.)It Tightens! I mean tightens your skin to reduce all that jiggle we all got goin' on.
bye bye cellulite.

.....Okay I lied there is one more reason!

4.)Its actually affordable! and not over priced by any means.
___________________________________

So do yourself and the lucky lover who is going to be seeing those scandales legs of yours
a favor get your yourself bronzed && beautiful!

You can get your very own Sexy Stems Self Tanner >> HERE <<

P.S. below is a little inspiration I bring to you to get not only your legs sex-a-fide, but the
rest of YOU on for this lovely Valentines Day. Every women single or Taken should feel beautiful and sexy this coming Valentines day, Love yourself ladies && Blow their minds ladies and have fun being a Girl!

Typical Tuesdays

A Day in the Life of the Kirk household on a "Typical Tuesday" night.
Lets just head on into the night time shenanigans =)

5:00 pm - Finally off of work and heading on over to pick up Rilynn from my parents house, she stayed the     night there the evening before so I am a extra excited to go pick her up.

6:30 pm - I left my parents house with sleepy baby girl in hand and bags full of groceries, that's one of the       best parts of going back "home", picking through your parents pantry.

6:45 pm - We arrive home. Ryan comes through the garage door hearing us arrive and comes straight away   to swoop up Rilynn in one hand and the groceries in the other. He gets Rilynns favorite show on
//Scooby Doo// && her favorite snack. While I unload groceries and start dinner.

7:30 pm - As dinner comes to finishing up, I take my chance while Rilynn is distracted to run in the bedroom   and change in to some comfy clothes, a top knot, and take my make up off with my usual nightly routine.

8:00 pm - We grab our plates and dig in to some yummy tortellini bake, and Ryan and I discuss our days.

8:15 pm - After we ate Rilynn clearly needed a bath she was pretty much drenched in marinara, So Ryan had
bath duty and I had dish duty, and managed to squeeze in a load of laundry.

9:00 pm - After bath time its time for Rilynns bedtime && tonight I actually got really lucky Ryan was just as   equally tired and has an early morning tomorrow so he went ahead and put Rilynn to sleep for me.               Which meant relaxation time =).

So From 9:00 pm till now I have been Painting my nails (Essies Buttler Please), watching RachelLoves on youtube (That girl is so awesome). I also started to watch Revolution <--I dont know how I feel about it quite yet. If you have seen it does it get better? I also did a wonderful Facial Mask and finishing up with writing this Blog....

&& the moment I hit Publish you bet I am going to bed, this lil mama is exhausted! Hope everyone had a lovely Tuesday and a Happy Hump day to you for tomorrow.

1/52

First Weekend of 2014 is complete && it was actually a lot busier then I thought it was going to be.

+  Friday was Date Night, Oh how I love date night it comes too far and in between, so we jump on the shit when we have the chance. Who wouldn't.

+ Saturday morning we did something we vary rarely do, we went out for breakfast. Ryan usually
always makes breakfast on the weekends, but he woke up looked at me and said "Lets go to Denny's"
&& who can say no to that. The rest of Saturday was spent Organizing our bedroom. Since we didnt have anywhere to be I took total advantage of that.

+ Sunday, OH Sunday. Filled with hanging at Grandma and Papa's, Playing in the leaves, && doing some major shopping..... I mean come on when you have Kohls Cash and a 50% off at Kirklands.
But all around I would say we had a nice relaxing weekend to start the New Years off.
How was yours?

Five on Friday // 2014

Well happy First Friday and weekend to come of the year :)
Hope everyone had an amazing New Years and Christmas Season

just go by way to quickly?
I am not going to lie, I am kind of at a lost with what
to talk about for my 5 on Friday so please allow me to Ramble on........

New Years Eve- we did a whole lot of nothing...Steak dinner, movies,
watching fireworks and I actually didn't even have a sip of alcohol [weird I know]

Laundry- I hate Laundry, that's when I wish I had a maid. F**k Laundry

Bath and Body works- Okay have you guys seen the deals! there is something
about a sale that makes my little heart flutter, but the semi-annual sale.. no words.

Hair Cut- Rilynn had her first Hair cut ..... because yes I jacked up her bangs
by cutting them to "try" to help her have them out of her eyes, whoops.
she did awesome for her first time, && a little frightened as you can tell.

Bloggers- I came across lex's Blog at He and I and let me tell you I could not stop
reading her Fun, Colorful, Full of life blog I fell in love with it and not to mention
her adorable little one. If  I was you I would check it out! you will not be disappointed!

Healthy Eating 1 // Chicken Caprese

Yes its true I am one of those people
the ones that always strive to have the
"lose weight, get healthy" New Years Resolution
&& I do plan on sticking to this....finally the 3rd year in
a row.... don't judge me I have a thing for anything frosted.
its just so damn delicious! &&A thing for
Martinis which also doesn't help, considering
both things make my ass grow.

So to help me on my wonderful Resolution
I need to find easy quick and not to difficult reciepes to follow.
Like this one that I found from // Gimme some Oven // <-- love the name
so clever! It makes me giggle. when I say it :) Its the little things in life people.

{Chicken Caprese}

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded to uniform thickness
  • 1/2 cup good-quality balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cups grape or cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella, torn into small pieces
  • 1 cup lightly-packed fresh basil, torn

Method:

To Make The Chicken:
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. (You will know that it is ready when the oil is shimmering, or it sizzles when you place a drop of water in the oil.) Add the chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the juices run clear. Remove chicken and set aside.

To Make The Balsamic Reduction:
Heat balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan over medium-high heat until boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10-15 minutes until reduced by half. Remove and set aside.

To Assemble The Dish:
Plate the chicken, then top with sliced tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. Drizzle with the balsamic reduction. Serve warm.
